How these numbers are counted
- Instrument use comes from the core’s booking records (FOM until late 2025, PPMS since). A session counts only when instrument time was used.
- Each person and research group is counted once across bookings, consultations and support requests.
- Support requests come from the core’s consultation log and, before June 2026, from email records, so earlier years are a minimum.
- Event figures are registrations. “13+” departments counts only research groups whose department is confirmed.
